Passengers traveling with Air China can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:

Air China Check-in Information

Online Check-in

Adult passengers holding tickets for Air China-operated flights or e-tickets for codeshare flights operated by Shenzhen Airlines, Shandong Airlines, or Tibet Airlines may check in online via the official Air China website.

• Online check-in is not available for special passenger types, including VIPs, passengers who are ill or injured, passengers with disabilities, pregnant women, unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers traveling alone, or any passengers requiring special services.

• If you check in through a third-party platform that is not an official Air China channel, Air China cannot guarantee the availability of other services to which you may be entitled.

• Adults may check in themselves and up to two children on the same itinerary and in the same booking class. If cancellation is needed, the check-in for the accompanying child(ren) must be canceled before canceling the adult’s check-in. Children cannot check in independently.

• Family check-in is only available on flights operated solely by Air China.

• Online check-in is generally available from 36 hours to 2 hours before departure at most international airports.

Boarding Pass Reprinting via Air China Website

• Before departure: Boarding passes can be reprinted up to 1 hour before the flight.

• After departure: Boarding passes can be reprinted from 48 hours up to 60 days after the flight.

• Reprinting is not available beyond 60 days after departure.

• For privacy reasons, reprinting is supported only for Air China-operated flights.

Self-Service Check-in

Air China Self-Service Check-in Kiosks are available at the following international airports:

• Japan: Osaka, Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Nagoya
• Europe: Frankfurt, London (Heathrow), Stockholm
• North America: Vancouver
• Asia: Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul (Incheon)

Passengers may print boarding passes using these kiosks. After completing kiosk check-in, baggage must be dropped off at an airport check-in counter.

• Kiosk check-in is available from 34 hours to 1 hour prior to scheduled departure time (varies by airport).

• Kiosks are only available for Air China-operated flights.

Airport Counter Check-in

Passengers must arrive at the airport in advance of the minimum check-in closing times and must bring:

• Valid passport
• Visas and any required travel documents used when booking
• The credit card used for purchase (if booked via Air China's global website)

Be sure to allow sufficient time to complete all check-in and immigration procedures.

• Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure for most flights.
• At Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, the minimum check-in time is 45 minutes.
• At most other airports in China, check-in closes 30 minutes before departure.

To ensure sufficient time for security and other formalities:

• Arrive 3 hours before departure for international flights
• Arrive 90 minutes before departure for domestic flights

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Air China for its timings, rules and procedure that may apply during check-in.
