How to Join

Joining Velocity Frequent Flyer is free and straightforward. Simply sign up on the official Velocity website. Once registered, you can start earning Points and Status Credits immediately.

Earning Points

Velocity Points can be accumulated through various activities:

Flights: Earn points when flying with Virgin Australia and its partner airlines.

Everyday Spending: Earn points through over 70 program partners and more than 200 e-Store partners, including credit cards, fuel purchases, hotel stays, and shopping.

Redeeming Points

Points can be redeemed for:

Flights and Upgrades: Use points to book flights or upgrade your seat class.

Accommodation and Car Hire: Redeem points for hotel stays and car rentals.

Products and Gift Cards: Shop for a variety of items or gift cards through the Velocity Rewards Store.

Wine and More: Even indulge in wine purchases using your points.

Status Tiers

Velocity Frequent Flyer has multiple membership tiers, each offering additional benefits:

Red: Entry-level membership with basic benefits.

Silver: Achieved by earning 250 Status Credits and flying at least two eligible Virgin Australia flight sectors within a 12-month period.

Gold: Requires 500 Status Credits and four eligible sectors. Benefits include lounge access, priority check-in, additional baggage allowance, and more.

Platinum: Offers the highest level of benefits, including four complimentary upgrade sectors per year.

Forever Gold: A lifetime status tier introduced in 2025, rewarding long-term loyalty.

Platinum Plus: A new elite status tier valid for a 12-month period, offering enhanced benefits.

Airline Partners

Velocity members can earn and redeem points with several international airline partners, expanding travel options globally. These partnerships enhance the value and flexibility of the Velocity program.
