British Airways (BA) is the national airline and largest carrier in the United Kingdom by fleet size. Its headquarters are located at Waterside, close to its primary base at London Heathrow Airport.

A founding partner of the Oneworld alliance, British Airways helped establish the group alongside American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and the now-defunct Canadian Airlines. Today, Oneworld is ranked as the third-largest global airline alliance, following SkyTeam and Star Alliance.

As of May 2025, British Airways holds the title of Europe’s largest airline, serving over 206 destinations globally including Australia, with the majority of its flights departing from London Heathrow.
