Passengers flying with Qatar Airways from major Australian airports, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide can check in via multiple convenient methods.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in counters typically open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes prior to takeoff for all international flights.

It’s recommended that passengers arrive at least 3 hours early, especially for long-haul flights to Doha and beyond.

Business and First Class passengers have access to dedicated check-in counters for faster processing.

Online Check-in

Available from 48 hours to 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

Passengers can check in, select seats, and download boarding passes via the Qatar Airways website or mobile app.

Online check-in is recommended to reduce wait times at the airport and ensure a smoother boarding process.

Bag Drop

Even if checked in online, passengers must drop their baggage at the airport check-in counters.

Bag drop closes 1 hour before departure.

Required Documents

A valid passport, visa (if required), and travel itinerary must be presented at check-in.

For international journeys, ensure all entry and transit requirements for your destination are met.

Special Services

Passengers needing special assistance, including those with reduced mobility or unaccompanied minors, should notify Qatar Airways in advance and arrive early for pre-boarding services.

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Qatar Airways for its timings, rules and procedure that may apply during check-in.
